Israel’s tiny speck of Red Sea is squeezed between Eqypt (Taba) on one side and Jordan (Aqaba) on the other side. Eilat is a resort city for glamorous people lying on the beach and scuba divers under the sea who come together for superb sunsets and long, warm summer nights.
Many tourists use this 7 km stretch of land as a passage to the Sinai Peninsula in Egypt or onwards to Petra in Jordan. However, if you stay, this glitzy destination provides relaxation all year round at its numerous luxury hotels and beaches. Coral Beach is the dive centre headquarters with its spectacular coral reefs.

Eilat is an amazing place to be in, there is always something to do, there are tourists visiting from all around the world all the time and the weather is sunny and breeze.
My advice to anyone visiting Eilat is not to spend all the time in the city but to book a trip to the nearby Timna National Park which aside of being a Geological Gem, houses the biblical Mines of King Solomon.
another great place to visit is Kibbutz Yotvata's Rehabilitation Safari where the National parks authority rehabilitates different endangered species native to Historical/Biblical Israel and re-interduces them back to the wild.
aside of that there's Kibbutz Neot Smadar which is home to one of Israel's largest Artist communities and of course, for Adrenaline junkies you can take a buggy/RZAR ride through the desert with a guide, or just go paragliding out in the sea
the choices never end in Eilat, and if there's one thing certain, is that you will want to come back again.

Very nice beach promenade, good for strolling around after dinner. Plenty of very nice hotels and restaurants around. There are a lot of trees and flowers in the city, one of these is the terminal park which is very close to the mall. The underwater observatory is a must-visit. We were blown away by it. You can see the mountains of four different countries from its rooftop. Spending a whole day there is recommended. The botanical garden is also pretty good, can be covered in an hour and a half with lots of nice photo opportunities. There are snorkeling etc. water activities, and a bird-watching park as well, but we did not get to visit those due to time constraints.

Eilat is growing exponentially.
Eilat is growing exponentially. It is located by the Red Sea, with Petra and the Jordan mountains next door. The mountains go from beige to purple and pink at sunset, a stunning view. The sea is warm and full of fish. People like the water sports there, though I like to lie by the pool. The weather is warm most of the year.

Tacky place, full of shops and attractions in bad taste.
Tacky place, full of shops and attractions in bad taste. Despite no VAT prices are high and the assortment in the shops is provincial. For decent beaches go South of Coral Beach or preferably to Taba Heights in Egypt.
It was the best stay at the hotel ever. Our plane landed late in the evening, so the hotel staf waited us to get our dinner. That was amaizing.
Our stay was on a low tourist season, so there were some renovation works during our stay. So we got a lovely present as the apologize from the hotel owner to our room.
It would be strange if the food were tastless in Israel, so again i give best review for the food too.
In conclusion i can say the communication between staff and customer is great and pleasant. Hotel is clean and comfortable.
What we like most about the property is the location which is just next to the Eilat Central bus Station. We’ve been traveling in multiple cities in Israel and the bus station is one of our consideration in selecting accommodation. Another thing is the supermarket next to it. All our basic needs can be bought in here. Eilat is just a small city and you can basically walk to most sight seeing areas except those need to have bus rides. Taxi are also available and drivers are very friendly.
The hotel was very clean and the staff very helpful and friendly. The breakfasts were excellent with a great choice. Location was literally 2 minutes from Eilat bus station. We have no transport so for us as pensioners the choice was excellent. The pool although not huge was big enough to enjoy and very welcome to cope with the heat. All in all nothing but praise for this very lovely boutique hotel. Would have no hesitation in recommending to family and friends
Shoshie.
Our Stay was great.
The studio is quite big and modern, they had water bottles, cookies and coffee waiting for us when we arrived (which you don't get even at some 5 star hotels in Eilat)
The host was awaingly nice and attentive.
He took the time to show us everything there was on the property (laundry room, cafes and restaurants, 24 hour mini markets and what might be the best ice cream in the city!
This place is affordable, comfortable and close to everything.
We chose the Lagoona for a few days after arriving in Israel and heading to Jordan. The staff were friendly and accommodating. We had a marina view room that was good sized and well equipped. The restaurant provided very good, fresh meals with a wide and changing variety available. They provided some nice entertainment and some alcohol is also included. We did go out for a nice walk one evening, but other than that there was no reason to leave the resort.
Very good location in Eilat. close to the center and the beach. The service was excellent and the room was good and very nice view to the artificial lagoon (we paid extra for this). The hotel however doesn't have the best atmosphere and the dining room felt more like a big hostel. We didn't stay in the hotel except for the room. Breakfast was ok. Huge variety but not the best quality. The price was fine though, for what we received.
the hotel, the design, the bed , breakfast, all was amazing! the toiletries are very good , towels clean and nice , pillows and mattress were great;
breakfast is great with all fresh things and super great croissants and delicious bread varieties . staff is helpful and Sarah the room made was very very kind , nice and helpful too.
we always choose the Herod palace as our best hotels among all in Eilat and will be back
This is the second time we are staying at Leonardo Plaza Hotel. The hotel is clean, excellent breakfasts, kind and always helpful staff.
The location of the hotel is the best money can buy. The hotel is located on the beach and all rooms face the sea (pictures are attached).
Many good restaurants and shops are in the vicinity of the hotel
Excellent value for money - for a fair price you are getting basically a three bedroom unit which is excellent if you're coming with kids of different ages which can sleep in different rooms. We enjoyed it much more than the usual hotel room. The pool is excellent, and one of the best beaches in Eilat is a 5 minute walk away.
the location of the hotel is excellent if you don't like the hustle and bustle of Eilat. just across the beach and near the coral reserve. also, the size of the hotel is nice - not too big and the room is spacy and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 kids easily.
though this hotel is not in the best part of Eilat, our stay was wonderful. The room was spotless and with all the amenities everyone would like, we were upgraded for free. People at the reception were outstanding and so helpful. We will be back.
The pools, the service, the size of the room, the shows, the activities for kids, the towel service man who was always friendly and smiling even in 40 degree heat, great value for money compared to other Eilat hotels
I stayed at the Comfort Hotel Eilat for two weeks. During this time, the staff were very friendly and accommodating - both front desk staff and the cleaning teams. The rooms were comfortable and clean.
The room is clean and comfortable. Matched the expectation . Location is excellent very close to Eilat center. Area in front of the hotel is monitored by cameras so it is completely safe there.
The location is very good. Just a few steps from the Eilat promenade. The hotel and the room were very clean. The room was comfortable. The sandy pool was liked very much by our children.
The receptionist was amazing and welcoming, the hotel was very cheap for the room and was rather nice overall, place is close to the center although one needs to climb a hill.
The best hotel in Eilat. Particularly worth of mention is the breakfast buffet that truly stands in a class of its own, diversity and unmatched quality.
